This painting was a special challenge, since, at the client’s request, I developed my own paisley, a graphic motif often used in fabric prints, with curved, organic and very detailed shapes. I couldn’t miss this opportunity to make my own paisley, my way…

I completely modified the original base color of the guitar (it was a wine color, very dark) and used a color palette with many variations of tones and values.

The biggest challenge, which I set myself straight away, was to mix curved and organic shapes with pointed and aggressive shapes, in a harmonious and balanced way, in a fluid and constant movement.

The snake, on the back of the guitar, was a requirement from the client, which gave a very interesting highlight to the composition.
